The brief called for a purpose-built health centre that could accommodate both the practice and a new Lloyds Pharmacy, delivering high-quality, future-ready services for the local community.

Our Approach
As lead consultant, Aitken Turnbull designed a contemporary building that respects its setting while providing state-of-the-art facilities. Brickwork at ground level reflects neighbouring properties, while gold aluminium cladding above creates a striking identity. The design clearly separates the functions of the pharmacy and medical practice while uniting them under one roof.
The Conclusion
The new Murieston Health Centre provides a modern, efficient and welcoming environment for staff, patients and visitors. By integrating the pharmacy with the medical practice, the building enhances accessibility and patient care, ensuring the community benefits from comprehensive, convenient healthcare services within a purpose-built, contemporary facility.
