Yesterday, a team of volunteers from AT spent the day at SAMH’s Redhall Garden, lending a hand with a variety of outdoor tasks.
Redhall Garden is a fantastic green space that provides a safe and supportive environment for people to enjoy the outdoors, connect with nature, and grow produce. This year, the garden proudly celebrated its 40th anniversary, marking four decades of making a difference in the community.
Our volunteers rolled up their sleeves to support the team with improvements around the site. From preparing the compost area for future use to oiling garden furniture in readiness for next summer, it was a busy and rewarding day.
The experience offered not only the chance to make a positive impact but also the joy of spending time in the fresh air, getting stuck into meaningful work, and seeing first-hand the incredible efforts of the staff and trainees at Redhall.
It was a fantastic day out — and one that reminded us of the power of community, teamwork, and the importance of spaces like Redhall Garden.
A big thank you to Catherine and Caroline for their support on the day!
