SCOTTISH HOUSING DAY 2023
Today marks Scottish Housing Day, and this year’s theme focuses on celebrating housing as a career. At Aitken Turnbull Architects, our dedicated Living team is engaged daily in a wide spectrum of housing projects, ranging from master planning large developments to smaller local and infill projects. We also handle one-off house designs and extensions for private clients. Collaborating with various local housing associations, builders, developers, and individuals, our work is deeply embedded in the community.
Aitken Turnbull are accredited as Investors in People and Investors In Young People, and annually, we employ part 1 and part 2 Architecture Students to assist our team (four so far this year). We also employ school leavers who will go on to become qualified in the sector. We have recently taken on two new staff members specifically to work in our living team to assist with our increasing workload.
Our belief is that every new housing project begins with an idea, often originating from our team. We take pride in nurturing and transforming these concepts into reality, all the while delivering value to our staff, the communities we serve, and the environments in which we operate.
