A new clubhouse entrance, shop, and world-class Performance Golf Academy were delivered for one of the UK’s most prestigious golf courses. The project balances architectural sensitivity with bold ambition—enhancing the member experience, welcoming international visitors, and establishing a new global benchmark for golfing destinations within a sensitive coastal setting.

The Challenge

The vision went beyond refreshing facilities—it was about redefining the golfing experience. The client sought a world-class environment for members, guests, and visiting golfers, anchored by an advanced Performance Golf Academy. The challenge lay in achieving this ambition within a highly sensitive coastal site, respecting and celebrating its natural landscape.

Our Approach

The clubhouse extension creates a dynamic new arrival point, combining shop, visitor centre, and restaurant with panoramic coastal views. Warm, contemporary interiors enrich the visitor journey while refined layouts simplify circulation. For the Academy, strong monolithic walls and embedded siting connect architecture to topography, providing elite training facilities that blend seamlessly with the landscape.

The Conclusion

The completed development elevates the course into a truly international destination. From arrival to practice and play, the facilities deliver a visitor journey that is both refined and memorable. Balancing sensitivity with ambition, the project strengthens the course’s position as one of the UK’s leading golfing venues and a benchmark globally.
