POYNDER APARTMENTS – SCOTTISH PROPERTY AWARDS FINALIST 2024

We are delighted to announce that Poynder Apartments in Kelso has been named as a finalist for this years Scottish Property Awards. The project, developed for Eildon Housing Association, transformed the grade B listed former high school building in to 36 one- and two-bedroom flats, all equipped with wheelchair access and on-site care and support services.

The project successfully provides extra care housing, repurposes a landmark building, and contributes to the enhancement of the town’s identity. Working closely with a local team, the project not only preserved the original fabric of the building but offers various flat layouts and integrates green spaces seamlessly into the urban landscape.

Poynder Apartments stands as a shining example of how thoughtful architecture and community collaboration can transform a historical landmark into a modern, inclusive, and sustainable living space. The project not only honours the past but paves the way for a brighter and more interconnected future for the town and its residents.
