At Aitken Turnbull Architects we have a heritage that outshines most architectural practices, tracing our roots back to 1887. Throughout our history, we have seen numerous changes, but our legacy is a testament to the incredible teams who have continued to advance the practice. Their investment in the organisation, coupled with their creativity, design expertise, and extensive knowledge, has been crucial in delivering the incredible projects AT has over the years. This year, we are proud to celebrate several milestone anniversaries within the practice:
ALISTAIR WHITSON – 35 Years
Alistair Whitson celebrates 35 incredible years with Aitken Turnbull, having joined the practice in 1989. His dedication and expertise have been instrumental in shaping key projects within the practice. During his time as an Associate and IT Lead for the company Alistair has also helped navigate the practice in both a technical and digital perspective.
RACHEL ARMISTEAD – 10 Years
Rachel Armistead marks a fantastic decade with us, joining straight from university Rachel continued her personal development and progressed to Senior Architect last year. Over the years, Rachel has been pivotal in several key projects, including Roxburgh Street Health Centre, ESMAC and the Cancer unit at Lorn & Islands Hospital Oban, showcasing her exceptional talent and commitment to excellence.
JAMES GRANT, SEBASTIAN MERCER, and INESE KRAUZE – 5 Years
James Grant- Associate Director, Sebastian Mercer – Senior Architect, and Inese Krauze – Architectural Assistant all celebrate 5 years with Aitken Turnbull. Their contributions have been invaluable, bringing fresh perspectives and innovative solutions to our projects.
These experienced team members serve as mentors to newer staff, fostering a collaborative environment where knowledge and expertise are shared freely. Their commitment and loyalty help preserve our legacy while driving innovation and excellence in everything we do. We are incredibly proud of their contributions and the stability they provide, which allows us to build lasting relationships with our clients and deliver outstanding architectural solutions
In March of this year we welcomed three new staff members, Everett, Tom & Peter, each bringing a wealth of experience to our team. This expansion was made possible by an exciting pipeline of work, allowing for further growth opportunities for the practice.
We are also delighted to announce the addition of two further new staff members who will be joining us in support roles within the next month, reinforcing our commitment to providing exceptional service and support to our clients.
