AITKEN TURNBULL RAISE OVER £8000 FOR SAMH

We are absolutely delighted to share that we have raised over £8,000 for our charity partner, Scottish Action for Mental Health (SAMH). This has been an incredible journey throughout the year, and we couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve achieved together.

Our journey began with practice sessions for the Edinburgh Marathon over the summer, with our amazing team participating alongside Connor Boyle from Edinburgh Rugby, who kindly agreed to coach the team in a special training session.

In August, our MD, Alasdair Rankin, took a bold step by completing a skydive in Durham, successfully raising over £2,000 in the process.

The team also organised a series of internal fundraisers, including a Halloween Pumpkin Carving Competition and a Christmas Raffle, both of which proved to be a great success.

We were also delighted to welcome Rachel Bottomly from SAMH to speak at our AGM this year. It was inspiring to hear how our collective efforts have helped the charity reach more people across Scotland.

Rachel shared:

“Throughout the charity partnership between Aitken Turnbull Architects and SAMH, it’s been very obvious that there is a real, genuine commitment and buy-in from everyone in the organisation.”

Additionally, this year, four of our team members received training and are now serving as wellbeing champions across all our studios, supporting the mental health and wellbeing of our colleagues.

Looking ahead, we’re incredibly excited to announce that we will be partnering with SAMH again for 2025. We’re committed to helping SAMH reach even more people and provide vital Mental Health support to those who need it most.

Our MD, Alasdair, shared his thoughts on the future partnership and the continued positive impact we can create together.

“Working with SAMH as our charity partner over the last year has been an amazing experience for our whole team.  Having a shared focus for our fundraising efforts has been fantastic. As well as supporting SAMH we’ve also learned a huge amount about the importance of protecting and nurturing our own mental health.  We’re delighted to partner with SAMH for another year to support the amazing work they do. “

Keep an eye out on our social media for updates on our 2025 fundraising efforts and for ways that you can help to support us.
