AITKEN TURNBULL MD SOARS FOR SAMH!
Our Managing Director, Alasdair Rankin, recently completed a skydive to support our charity partner, SAMH (Scottish Action for Mental Health). On October 4th, Alasdair took the plunge from 15,000 feet, jumping from a twin-engine aircraft above Peterlee Airfield in Durham.
Back in August, we announced Alasdair’s fundraising efforts with an initial goal of raising £1,500. Thanks to generous contributions from sponsors, this goal was surpassed, reaching an impressive £2,010.
We have raised nearly £7,000 for SAMH this year, to date, through various fundraising events including participating in the Edinburgh Marathon and our Corporate Day at Kelso Races. We will continue our efforts with our upcoming events like an inter-studio pumpkin carving competition and Christmas themed events.
Reflecting on his skydive experience, Alasdair shared, “I relished the opportunity to do this skydive. It took me way out of my comfort zone, but when we reflect on the fantastic work done by SAMH and how they transform thousands of lives, I was more than delighted to take part.
My thanks go not only to my Aitken Turnbull colleagues for their inspired suggestion and the invaluable assistance from the Sky-High Sky Diving team but also to everyone who sponsored me.”
An huge well done to Alasdair for his incredible commitment to raise funds for SAMH and helping make people’s lives a little bit better.
