Palliative Day Care Unit, Elgin

Though Elgin in Morayshire is part of the Grampian NHS Trust, it is a considerable distance from Aberdeen. Local pressure led to a new Cancer Day Hospice being provided on a greenfield site in Elgin.

This pleasant site offered a great opportunity for a sympathetic building of appropriate scale and atmosphere for this patient group. Natural timber is used extensively both internally and externally and pleasant garden areas surround and are integrated with the building.
